1. Introduction and Role
Break Space Inc. dba Pyract ("we", "our") provides business operations software, including AI automation, bookkeeping, and point-of-sale tools. When we process data on behalf of our business clients (Merchants), we act as a "Data Processor" under Canadian privacy laws. Merchants are responsible for obtaining necessary consents from their customers. Our services are not intended for individuals under 18.
2. Information We Collect
We only collect data necessary to provide our services. This includes:
- Merchant Data: Business details and authorized user credentials.
- Consumer Data: Phone numbers, addresses, and transaction history provided during interactions.
- Audio & AI Data: Voice interactions and audio recordings captured via our AI omnichannel agents (Phone, Drive-Thru, etc.) for order processing, quality assurance, and AI training.
3. Connected Financial Accounts (Plaid)
If you connect a financial account, we use third-party providers such as Plaid to securely access your data. You explicitly authorize this connection. We do not collect, access, or store your bank login credentials. You can disconnect your financial accounts at any time through the application or by contacting support. 4. Payment Processing
We integrate with third-party payment processors. We do not directly collect, process, or store full credit card numbers or payment card data on our servers.
5. How We Use Your Information
Data is used to facilitate POS transactions, operate our AI voice models, provide bookkeeping, and improve our services. We do not use financial data for unrelated purposes, and we do not sell personal or financial data.
6. Data Sharing and Location
Data may be processed in Canada and the United States (where our secure servers are located). We may disclose information where required to comply with applicable Canadian laws or legal processes.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard safeguards to protect data. Access is restricted to authorized personnel. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a breach, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by applicable laws.
8. Data Retention and User Rights
Data is retained only as necessary and deleted when no longer required. Users may request access, correction, or deletion of their data by contacting privacy@pyract.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
